The Peach State Roller Derby All-Stars brought their talents to Columbus, Ga. to bout against their rivals Muscogee Rollergirls on Saturday August 1st, 2015. The All-Stars came into the bout with confidence after a solid victory against Muscogee at the Jukes and Jams tournament in Atlanta. Muscogee was looking for redemption and the atmosphere was tense. The All-Stars got off to a strong start with impressive power blocking by Chaos, May Daye Faye, Vexing Violet, BiblioBlitzkrieg, RazeHer, T-McPain, Hiedi Gloom, Amber Graves of Slain, and Just A Girl. Impressive moves by Jammers Drag’n Tame Her, Eccentrica GiggleKicks, Yoda Lady Who, and Turbo Royale had Muscogee on their heels. With 10 minutes left in the first half, Muscogee rallied with strong blocking, controlling the All-Stars’ jammers and taking the lead for the first time right at the end of the half.

As the second half started, it was obvious that neither team was going to concede. Strong hits from both teams and quality jams kept this bout close. Both teams mirrored each other in their style of play and only determination was going to separate the two. About midway through the second half, the All-Stars blockers imposed their will and it started to take its toll on Muscogee. The All-Stars jammers continued their relentless scoring attack scoring with speed and vision. In the end, the combined effort and excellent team play of the All-Stars secured a statement victory of 169 to 134.

Coach Saul continues to improve the team bout after bout. With impressive victories at the Jukes and Jams tournament as well as this recent victory against Muscogee, the Peach State Roller Derby All-Stars are certainly a team to be reckoned with.
